Mission
Our mission is to increase accountability among political leaders by creating voting awareness among educated middle class Indians
Motivation for the mission
- Minimal participation of the Indian middle class in the electoral process
- Current mindset of various Indian political parties which does not consider “middle class” as a vote bank
- Acknowledgement by the ex Punjab Chief Minister after his loss in the 2007 assembly elections - "I am yet to unravel the fact about why the urban population has gone against us. The rural electorate was with us". Statistics show that a large urban population participated in the Punjab ‘07 assembly elections resulting in a record voter turnout of 72% in Punjab.
Vision
Our vision is a simple cause and effect approach.
- Statistical analysis shows vote from educated middle class society will
significantly change the results of election.
- Educated and aware citizens will become main stakeholders during any political leader's tenure & campaign forcing accountability.
- This will gradually promote educated Indians into mainstream democratic system.
